  Khakdan’s chosen perspective is what distinguishes him from many other contemporary painters in Iran, and in this decision, he has chosen one of the most difficult ways to remain a painter. As a contemporary artist he tries to create a particular language through objectivism and the creation of a balance between the subject and the figurative function of the elements. His language may not be new but its use in the boundaries and limitations of Iranian painting requires boldness. And it is this obsessiveness that has compelled him to overcome the technical mastery of the perspective.
At first sight, one is fascinated by the power in Khakdan’s paintings but what remains after becoming visually familiar with his work is the attempt to the transfer his personal themes and interpretations. To the avail of a language that is barely present in our historical memory, he then leaves the memoirs of an emigration for us.
